Transart Installation
CHRISTOPH HINTERHUBER
sounddesign by Werner Möbius
Christoph Hinterhuber installs optical Dolby-systems that absorb and transform the viewers such that they are put in a position where they stratify the digital re-evolution of culture and their own position as mediatised subjects. His images could – metaphorically speaking – be understood as speakers and the corresponding objects and installations as stereophonic. The visual beats create the physical environment of a digital biotope, which puts the beholders into a hypnotic rhythm of a cyber trance and into consciousness of an information stadium of machines and network that is alien to mankind. This allows us a foreshadowing of possible posthuman forms of communication that we cognitively can merely convert into abstract patterns.
