Risk taking and uncertainty is among the richest sources of creativity that you can possibly imagine. The artist, Olaf Nicolai has already demonstrated this in the most convincing incipit from his project, which took place in occasion of Museion’s 10 year anniversary in the new building. The cowbells were used as the instrument for a composition by Isabel Mundy and after were put back around the animal’s necks and they resumed their journey accompanied by random ringing sounds. After almost 5 months the cows reunited again on the Salto plateau to bring out the most of their sonorous capacities by working with the virtuous musicians from the vocal ensemble, “Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart”. Right in the middle of a breathtaking countryside two souls meet, the harsh musical composition and the unfathomable nature of the animal and the randomness of random.
