With this concert Absolute Ensemble demonstrates how a classical contemporary orchestra can be at ease in the rock & roll grooves. The music reaches moments of authentic magnificence, thanks to the arrangements of several Frank Zappa's pieces. The songs are rewritten in a heterogeneous way, at the same time respecting the peculiarity of the originals, which mix irony, virtuosity and the composition's excellence. Frenetic rhythms alternate with moments of pure musical enchantment... with Napoleon Murphy Brock at the sax and Mike Keneally at the acoustic guitar as special guests.
