The essence of the sacred as a cosmic unity that manifests within human art is the leading thread of a concert that follows the existential theme in music through the various steps of a contemporary repertoire. It starts from the Russian composer Sofia Gubjdulina’s symbolism and leads to the Esthonian Arvo Pärt – here with one of the most renown pieces of his repertoire, from the Messiaenic purism of Thomas Daniel Schlee to the spectral analysis of Evis Sammoutis who for the first time measures himself with the vocal timbre of a choir of children. The performance is a world premiere. A concert in which spirituality takes life in the language of music.
