Giovanni Lami > Bias
Curated by Alessio Sacchetto
“My main interest nowadays is shifting towards everything that can be considered an 'auditory waste', marginal and rough zones of the listening experiences, processes of decay. The way I present my work, requires a continuous interaction with the hosting venue [...], during the concert the surroundings are invaded by magnetic tapes, offering a non-frontal execution, towards an audience that will be able to freely decide where to place themselves.”
The work Bias of Giovanni Lami is the result of an artistic and acoustic research. The project started between June and July 2015 across various residences in Austria, Greece and Italy, and developed through a daily study and investigation upon the possibilities that the chosen materials and supports could offer. Bias is a project connected to the concepts of memory and void.
