Premiere of 63 wind instruments of the composer Gubaidulina: here is the time for our soul! The vibrant atmosphere invites us to linger... as if at the sight of our own image reflected on a mirror of transparent water. Silences, whispers, impressions and suggestions which are trailed and finally suspended into timeless space by an orchestra of more than 200 musicians – metaphor of the sea.

In 2004, Klangspuren is dedicated to internationally renown composers and directors, as Peter Eötvös, Vykintas Baltakas, Beat Furrer, Vinko Globokar. It introduces the string quartet on the contemporary scene with the Arditti-Minguet and Chordos formations. And finally an outlook on music from Hungary, Lithuania, and Slovenia thanks to a rich program of collateral activities.
