Carl Michael Von Hausswolff . Physical interrogation techniques
VAL_Flavia Müller Madeiros
Physical Interrogation Techniques is the theatrical version of a text with the same title written by Richard W. Krousher, inspired by the interrogatory methods used by the CIA to wring information from prisoners through torture. Carl Michael von Hausswolff reconstructs an unimaginable status amongst the audience, using the tools of his artistic research, devoted to an imaginative response towards electronic conduction, magnetic frequency, and tonal resonance. Through a mixture of luminous and sonorous frequencies, von Hausswolff's performance represents the theatrical efficacy of a politics which pursues the “truth” as its object. Created for the Venice Biennale, 37. International Festival of Theater.
