The artist Roman Signer will be present.

Nature is Swiss artist Roman Signer’s atelier. It is his place of experimentation – an important, multifaceted source of inspiration. At the same time, it provides him with the raw material for his art. Since the beginning of his career as an artist, he has used the classical four elements – fire, water, earth and air – as his basic materials. It’s no surprise, then, that he has chosen the Vernagter Reservoir for his performance installation in the Senales Valley. He has always felt a special connection to water. The lake, a pianist, a piano, a raft and a helicopter provide the basis for this spectacular world premiere, in which the young Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson will interpret Alexander Scriabin’s VERS LA FLAMME. Beforehand, the film Signers Koffer – Unterwegs mit Roman Signer, by Peter Liechti, will be screened in the BUF recreation space in Vernagt, affording insights into the work of the renowned Swiss artist.
