Immagine to find yourself turning the buttons of a radio that transmits only odd and unlikely stations: one that plays percussion pieces inspired by Caga, one that brings mountain songs and ladin choirs, jet another specialised in the repertoire of tyrolian band music, then one dedicated only to jodel-music where the voice of Anneliese Breitenberger reigns over all, and then another one that recites texts that range from Dante Alighieri to Norbert C. Kaser and finally one that revels in electronic music, from the most trivial to the most exquisite. Immagine more then 200 artists performing live together, disseminated on the court and walls of an Austro-Hungarian fort surrounded by mountains... this is the scenario of the musical situation created by Wolfgang Mitterer in the fort of Franzensfeste – Fortezza within the interregional exhibition on freedom and its many forms.
