For the occasion of John Cage’s 100th Birthday on the 5th September 2012, Transart12 invites everybody to come to a 2 day long tour that combines music, performance and hiking. The pianist Sabine Liebner will perform during these 26 hours a cycle of star charts called Etudes australes for piano on three different locations. The tour will start in Moso in Passiria then continue on the 2.500 m high Passo Rombo and finally finish in the little town Obergurgl, not far from the find spot of Ötzi.

By exploring the landscape and situation of the space, Natalia Pschenitschnikova and Melati Suryodarmo perform the parcour in different spots. Public are invited to witness the performances with exciting surroundings, among the landscape as well as at the architectural buildings. The choices of Cage’s Song Books are compiled into various composition of sound and performances regarding to the new interpretation on situational encounters.
