LORENZI
The “grey area” between techno and dubstep is one of the most fertile fields of research for electronic music. “Interzona plays Transart” spans an arch from Teutonic “cassa dritta” and English bass culture presenting four musicians who experiment within this border area by means of their music.
THE FIELD
Alex Willner, inspiring for many producers like Caribou and Jon Hopkins, is an artisan of unsettled and numbing loops, combined with a hypnotic Crescendo. Minimal techno with a Krautrock-cosmos-core: psychedelic electric shock with roots in Acid.
OBJEKT
The sound of TJ Hertz is a result of broken beats by Aphex Twin, a fascination for the Doppler Effect and a retro-futuristic passion for analogue tools. His sets can be described as abstract deflagrations of basses and English 90s techno and have already been incorporated into various remixes by Radiohead and SBTRKT.
AKKORD
AKKORD is electronic alchemy based on mathematical obsession of mancunian producers, who are adored as the new Autechre: a dark mutation between geometrical rhythmics and husky dub.
MATTIA LORENZI
Mattia Lorenzi is from Brunico, a small town in the Italian Alps. Although he started listening to indie records that he would pick from his fathers collection, he soon fell in love with disco, funk but especially electronic & house music. His eclectic taste and careful selection are the two essential elements that define his DJing and instead of meticulously planning his sets, he prefers relying on his gut feeling when playing. Since 2014 he’s part of the wupwup/ Tanzen ist auch Sport collective and regularly plays festivals & clubs in- and outside of Italy.
