Zeena Parkins is a sound performer, weaving smoothly between various musical forms of expression: from free improvisations and contemporary compositions via Noise Music through to advanced pop-music. She has repurposed her acoustic harp into a “sound machine with endless capabilities”. Thus, she creates new musical rooms of experience, develops improvisation strategies and initiates unusual hearing-processes. In the Greif Hotel, Zeena Parkins turns hotel rooms into eclectic sound-spheres.
