⫸ José Miguel Gómez, cello

With “Flamenco Envisioned” the trio Arbós wants to heal a fracture in Spanish musical culture. The flamenco, which has roots from Iberian popular music serves as a source of inspiration and reflection to the classical contemporary musicians. For this purpose the trio commissioned new scores to seven composers, who were given the task to understand the flamenco from their own perspective and with the only condition which was to use artistic freedom in doing so.
Experience this rich dialogue between the energy and the intensity of the flamenco tradition and the complex music of our time.
