This is the debut concert of chromoson, a new ensemble for new music that was founded in 2014 by musicians Philipp Lamprecht, Hannes Kerschbaumer and Carolin Ralser. At Neustift, they’ll translate daily office life into music, creating soundscapes out of snow and icicles, making sound walls from percussive clusters and letting events that are believed to be under control spiral out of control. Beforehand, the ensemble will serve as a translator between sculptor Peter Senoner and composer Hannes Kerschbaumer. Starting with an installation created by sound artist Stefano Bernardi in Engelsburg Castle, Alessio Ferrante brings striking mechanisms into dialogue with organ pipes. An extraordinary sound experience in three parts.
