Blixa Bargeld > Rede/Speech
In his one man performance "Rede / Speech", the legendary Blixa Bargeld, frontman of the ''Einstürzende Neubauten'' and ex-guitarist of Nick Cave, explores the boundaries of language and music. The audience bears witness to the metamorphosis of sentences, words and syllables into acoustic architecture, resounding spheres and cacophonous monstrosities, constructed live on stage using only Blixa's voice, channeled through a mixer. Using his voice as building material, he re-creates the solar system, celebrates genetic surgery for a faster evolution, deconstructs the song ''Guitar Man'' and sets ''wonder'' and ''doubt'' up to a verbal and philosophical duel on the space of the stage.
The evening is introduced by Jörg Zemmler, a south tyrolian poet, with a short performance in which ''what you hear is what you feel''.
