With an exhibition of artworks the Kunstforum Unterland is celebrating at Transart07 his 10th anniversary.
Art’s fever invades the industrial area of Cortaccia. In the sculptures of the South Tyrolean artist Ulrich Egger, form takes life from the continuous cross-references between the physicality of matter and its own reflection. Surface details overbearingly jutting out rise to barriers/borders that outline the physical limits of images. The tactile and optical effects accentuate the impression of depth by entertaining a relationship with real-virtual space and by allowing the artwork to add the characters opposing abstractness – architecture – and corporeity – steel. Literally febrile, the performance of the British dancer Nigel Charnock who on the notes of Michael Riessler’s clarinet and of the Virus string quartet, straying in a continuous dialogue between dance music and voice, revisits William Shakespeare’s love sonnets. And Nigel Charnock’s “love discourse”, spotlight of the scene, is so much on fire to let muscles and nerves vibrate by touching all the range of the lover’s “emotional and physical states”, from passion to loss, from hope to ecstasy, from grief to fatality. And while the digital dub of the Berliner band - Pole hypnotizes, the setting for the Berliner Dj - Barbara Preisinger is getting ready for an ending worth an actual “Saturday night’s fever”!
