Arditti string quartet measures itself with two pieces of contemporary classical repertoire. Fragmente - Stille, an Diotima is Luigi Nono's interpretation of Hölderlin's poetry, where a minimalist melody becomes slowly fragmented during the execution, protracted until the vanishing of a glacial silence. With Jonathan Harvey’s piece, thanks to an electronic elaboration in real time, the sound acquires a physical dimension, wafting as a phantasmagoria on the public, symbolizing various metaphors: is it astral journey, dream, or mystical imaginary? A project realized in collaboration with the legendary team of research IRCAM.
