The Haydn Orchestra achieves with this concert an unprecedented mixture of electronic and contemporary classical music. Bernard Lang's DW 8, where D stays for Differenz, difference, and W for Wiederholung, repetition, translates into music Gilles Deleuze's philosophical theory, where repetition is subject to difference and difference bound to repetition. The orchestral tradition trespasses into electronic music, gaining instants of pure theatricality, with the world premiere of the new version of Jorge Sánchez-Chiong trapos/catwalk en Guantanamo, inspired by the Cuban writer Reinaldo Arenas. Johannes Kalitzke conducts the whole mise en scéne.
